- Can I view the furniture I am going to rent?
We have a large 2500sq ft showroom at our offices in Chessington displaying all of our current ranges and are available for viewing Monday to Friday. Our rental range can also be viewed here link to furniture gallery
- What can I rent?
You can rent from 5 items to a whole package consisting of furniture, housewares and electronics from our core stock range, or you can tailor the items to specifically suit your needs using our interior design service.
- Are the items brand new? If not, how are they cleaned?
All of the furniture we rent is either new or in Showroom condition and is fully supported by our Service Guarantee
- Do you install and arrange the furniture?
Roomservice by CORT will ensure that your furniture is correctly installed. All packaging from the furniture and accessories will be removed from the property by the delivery team. RSbC use their common sense and experience when placing furniture and accessorising. The housewares will be installed (kitchenware unpacked and the beds made up) if you have opted for us to do so.
- Do I need to be on-site for the delivery?
No. If it is difficult for you to arrange to be at the property, We can collect keys from an appointed representative (providing the key-holder is reasonably near the property) and return them afterwards. Please advise contact numbers of the key holder in advance so we can contact them if it is necessary.
- What is the turnaround time for delivery?
We ask for 7 working days notice, but can usually deliver within 48 hours once the paperwork is finalised based on availability.
- Where will you deliver?
We will deliver to anywhere in mainland UK.
- What is the minimum time I could rent for?
There is no minimum rental period; however there is a minimum charge of four weeks rental.
- What is the minimum value of the furniture I can rent?
There is no minimum rental value, however please bear in mind there is a minimum item hire of 5 pieces.
- Does the furniture comply with Health and Safety regulations?
Since 1997, it has been a legal requirement that all upholstered furniture provided in furnished lettings must meet with the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988.
- Is the furniture insured?
We are unable to insure furniture in a third party property; however it guarantees the furniture is fit for purpose throughout the life of the rental.
- What happens if the furniture should get damaged?
Accidental damage requiring the item to be replaced during the term of the rental will be charged at the original value of the item less depreciation.
- What is the ordering process?
Simply confirm by email your confirmation to proceed with our proposal and we will contact you within one working day to agree on a delivery date.
- How am I billed and what form of payment if accepted?
Once the furniture is delivered, we will send you a monthly or quaterly invoice. The accepted forms of payment are credit or debit card, cheque, bank transfer or standing order.
- Can I change furniture during the contract period to meet different tenant requirement?
Yes. We will arrange to collect or deliver individual items during the rental period but there is usually a minimum delivery charge of £50. More details of this service are available on request.
- How do I schedule the furniture to be picked up? How much notice do you need?
You can schedule the furniture to be picked up by simply calling 020 8392 9344. We usually only require one weeks notice to schedule the pick up.
