Roomservice by CORT prepares for further growth in 2012

We are pleased to announce that Graham Smith, the company’s Finance & Operations director, will become the new Managing Director Graham has worked for the company for 26 years and was a founding partner of the original Roomservice business which was acquired by CORT in January 2008. His original business partner and Roomservice by CORT’s current Managing Director, Roger Hollis, will be retiring from the UK business at the end of 2011, but will be acting as a consultant for CORT’s US relocation business.

Over half of London’s renters are actively saving to purchase a house, but eight out of ten will be unable to actually buy once their current tenancy agreement comes to an end, according to research commissioned by furniture rental specialist Roomservice by CORT to look into the capital’s residential lettings sector.

The project, which encompassed 12 apartments in Bracknell, 70 at SACO’s Broad Quay site in Bristol and nine units in London’s Covent Garden, has been completed over an eight-month period.

London based furniture rental company, Roomservice by CORT attended the Re:Locate awards, held at the Institute of Directors, in London's Pall Mall, to celebrate and reward the successes in the relocation industry.

Launched in 2007 by Re:locate, the magazine for HR professionals and relocation specialists, this is the only awards scheme in the UK to celebrate achievement in this field.  The seven awards between them recognise individuals, teams, policy and innovation, with a choice of categories for HR and service providers.
