When Pauline Quirke accepted the role of MJ in the BBC's new crime drama Missing, she knew she would need a home from home to return to after a long day's filming on location. The actress couldn't make the long journey to and from the set each day so turned to a rental property in Kent, near the filming studios, which had an agreement that made Roomservice by CORT the recommended furniture rental provider.
The need for mobility in any relocation plan makes furniture rental an ideal and economically viable option. Pauline explains: "Because it was a short term rental it seemed to make more sense than moving stuff from my house or buying more."
Although Pauline wasn't obliged to use Roomservice by CORT, she found the process of renting furniture with them so easy and their staff so helpful that it just "made sense to use them."
So was it style, comfort or practicality of the furniture options that ticked all the boxes for Pauline and her family? "All three I'm afraid. We all want comfort but you don't want to be looking at a bit of ugly furniture either." Roomservice by CORT's range of stylish designs can be pieced together to allow customers to feel a sense of ownership of their new homes, however long their stay. What particularly impressed Pauline was the 'fuss-free' process. She says: "It was brilliant. I just turned up at the apartment and there it all was, just as they said it would be - they even made the beds up!"
But the customer service doesn't stop once the furniture arrives. If an accident happens and an item is broken, a replacement can be delivered the next day. Pauline comments: "I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the furniture rental option and Roomservice by CORT to friends, absolutely, 100 percent."
Pauline Quirke, best known for her role in the BBC's Birds of a Feather, has been on location in Kent recording a new daytime crime drama Missing. The five part drama focuses on a small and under-sourced Missing Persons Unit (MPU) based in Dover which is headed up by DS Mary Jane Croft (Quirke). The episodes were made to accompany the second series of Missing:Live which examines real life cases and attempts to reunite people with their love ones.
Roomservice by CORT was formed in early 2008 when Roomservice Group, founded 25 years ago, was purchased by CORT, the leading US furniture rental supplier owned by Berkshire Hathaway. The acquisition followed a six-year relationship where Roomservice was CORT's preferred UK supplier.
