The UK has a myriad of property types from period properties to urban apartments. Smaller period properties can often have quite small rooms, halls and staircases, so choose smaller items which can fit through the door of the property and won't take up too much space in the room.  

City apartments usually feature a kitchen/diner. For smaller apartments use reflective surfaces such as glass for dining tables and side tables, it takes up less visual space, making the apartment seem bigger.
